Making the Most of Your Morning

Whether you’ve been retired for ten years, or you’re on the last leg of your nine-to-five, embracing the morning can help elevate your productivity, allowing you to make the most of every day.

Life is incredibly busy, with hardly any signs of slowing down. Hitting snooze is one of the easiest decisions to make in the morning, but the payoff of deciding to get up and out of bed, choosing to create a better day from the moment your eyes open – those are the decisions that will allow you to transform your mornings into a time of true rejuvenation.
We’ve narrowed it down to three simple decisions – eat, refocus, and get moving.

  1. Eat
You’ve heard it a million times, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast literally means “breaking the fast,” and after a long night’s rest, getting up and fueling your body is the best way to prepare for the day. Even a quick, on-the-go meal will help sustain you through whatever the day brings your way. Stuck in the cereal rut? Here’s nine new ideas that are quick, healthy, and delicious.
  2. Refocus
You work hard, lead a busy life, and deserve a fresh start every morning! Allow yourself the time and environment to do just that. For some people, it’s finding an encouraging, uplifting book, while others take time to just be quiet and still before the day gets a hold of them. Whatever you choose, whether it’s
5 minutes or an hour, don’t be afraid to take the time to take advantage of a quiet morning. Life gets busy and chaotic quickly, but if you can make the morning your own, the rest of the day becomes more do-able.
  3. Get Moving
    Last but not least,
morning exercise has been proven to leave you with dozens of lasting benefits. Improved productivity, a boosted metabolism, even better sleep are just some of the reasons mornings are the best time to get up and go! However, you certainly don’t need an hour-long CrossFit session. Breathing in fresh air with a walk around the neighborhood, taking a yoga class at a local studio, even stretching at home before you begin your day – these are all great ways to get your blood flowing, body moving, and your mind in place to help you conquer whatever the world throws your way!
